An independent Australian music publisher, Fable Music has been in operation for over thirty years. Fable was created in the 1970’s to serve the publishing interests of Fable Records – one of the first independent Australian record labels.

 Fable Records became an icon in the Australian music industry achieving almost every industry award as well as a Guinness Book of World Records Award and an MBE from H.R.H Queen Elizabeth 11 to Ron Tudor, its original founder, for Outstanding Service to the Australian Music Industry.

The strength of Fable Music today is the direct result of a publishing legacy based upon our long standing representation of some of the most influential International publishing catalogues and our own significant original Australian catalogue.

Fable is active in the exploitation of music for record compilations, advertising, premiums and synchronisation for film TV, Radio and multi media productions.

The CEO of the company is John Mc Donald, a music industry veteran of 40 years.  Its copyright and royalty administration has been supervised by Lee Mc Donald for the past 14 years.  All our staff are experienced industry people dedicated to the administration, development and exploitation of copyrights. 

Fable has established its reputation upon the high standard of individualized service it provides, specialising in the recovery of royalties, the rectification of society registration problems and the active pursuit of film and TV synchronisation opportunities.  The majority of our international clients have come to us after years of ineffective representation by majors. Several of these clients, like ourselves, are family owned and operated publishers determined to remain independent within a world of majors.
